We fly from SFO tonight (actually tomorrow) at 12:05 am. Then it's a 12 hour flight to Hong Kong, followed by a connection in Singapore. Then we fly to Jakarta on the island of Java for a one-night stay. We'll try to catch a bit of sleep before our short flight to the cultural center of Yogyakarta the next day. Then our Indonesian tour finally begins.
Speaking of Jakarta, did you know that its nickname is the Big Durian? Durian fruit is unique to southeast Asia. It's said to have a succulent flavor but smells like stinky socks. Sounds delightful!
